Tucked in a mountainous embrace an hour from Cape Town, the Yearling Stables blend rustic charm with quirky accommodations in a former stable block.

The Glass Function Space
This glassed open area (16m x 7m) has attached to it a spacious covered terrace overlooking the dam, the Bovlei Valley below and the towering Hawequa Mountains beyond.
It provides a comfortable space for functions, receptions, retreats and group entertainment. It can comfortably accommodate a group of 60 for a sit down meal.
A catering kitchen adjacent to the function area is equipped with three gas stoves, and ample fridge, and freezer space.

The stables
The bedrooms are monastic. Twenty bedrooms, converted from individual stables, provide accommodation for up to 40 people.
Each bedroom is fully enclosed and lockable and is furnished with two single beds each with a full set of linens and an additional blanket—though bringing an extra blanket is advisable due to the cold.

Other amenities
A seperate lounge with fireplace provides a breakaway space for those wanting some quiet.
An expansive grassed lawn within the central courtyard provides space for games of boulle and croquet.
The fire pit and a portable grill are ideal for evenings beneath the stars without the light pollution from the city.
While WiFi keeps you connected, the patchy cellphone signal invites you to unplug and unwind.
A large dam fed by mountain springs and ideal for swimming is located directly in front of the stables
